An Innovator in Modern Pharmaceutical Machinery
Since 1959, Thomas Processing has dedicated itself to excellence in the design and manufacturing of pharmaceutical tablets. We started with our precision tablet press tooling, but since then, we’ve grown into a global presence for supplying tablet coating equipment. We’ve become an industry leader in tablet coating systems by never being satisfied and always reaching for higher quality.
As pharmaceutical machinery suppliers, we are always searching for ways to improve the coating process or to make our process equipment easier to use. We want to be your partner in progress and your competitive edge in your market. The team at Thomas Processing has committed to a long tradition of innovation and excellent customer support.
When you purchase machinery from us, you can count on us to be there to support you in the years to come. Before the equipment ever arrives at your facility, we have already performed a factory acceptance test to review and run all of it. After that, we conduct onsite acceptance testing and installation qualifications to make sure your new hardware works in your facility and abides by all appropriate codes and regulations.
The World’s Most Advanced Tablet Coating Systems
We believe your organization deserves the maximum ROI from your pharmaceutical machinery parts and equipment. Our coaters offer a long lifecycle, consistent performance across multiple batches, and a uniform level of coating on your tablets. However, it was not enough just to make our coaters effective. We also had to make them user-friendly.
We offer training and control upgrades to make your operations more productive and keep you on the cutting edge of the pharmaceutical industry.
Our personnel train your employees on the equipment they will be using in your facility. We offer multiple course options, and Thomas supplies your training course materials. This education is classroom and hands-on training that can be conducted in multiple shifts depending on your needs. Thomas also will be there in the future for your ongoing needs such as equipment maintenance, spare machine parts, and process optimization.
R&D Tablet Coating
We’ve put thought and practical design into every coater we build. Our benchtop Flex O5 coater is inspired by the needs of our customers and driven by our passion for innovation. Maximize your space without sacrificing performance. The Flex 100 coater comes with a wash-in-place configuration and exchangeable drums for a convenient batch-to-batch changeover. Get total coverage, every tablet, every process, every time.
Production Tablet Coating
Our comprehensive line of production tablet coaters come with an industry-proven, fully perforated drum design and user-friendly Compu-Coat controls. Our easy-clean design allows for total access and integrated wash-in-place options. The Thomas Spray Bar is a fully integrated spraying system designed to offer easy calibration, external gun positioning, and a streamlined sanitary design.
The Thomas Accela-Cota System Technology
Our proprietary Accela-Cota coating system is one of the many aspects of our organization that set us apart. This technology features a fully perforated drum design. We first introduced it back in 1969, and the process continues to set industry standards for unrestricted air handling, thermodynamic efficiency, and flexibility. The drum rotates on a horizontal axis with the spray bar positioned in the center of the drum. The drying air flows to the drum and passes through the tablet bed before escaping through the perforations in the drum.
This action is the ideal environment for mixing and coating. Accela-Cota is another cornerstone of Thomas Processing’s commitment to excellence.
It delivers the maximum coating quality while balancing the need for high-speed coating at the same time. Whether you’re focusing on R&D or moving into production tablet coating, we have the coating system for your facility and the services to support them.
